The SUNSAVA™ was invented by Len Derrick who has many years of experience in the earth moving industry and road construction.
Len felt that there was a pressing need for a stop/slow bat that provided its user with sun protection and also has a handy improvement when used in rainy conditions.

The unique SUNSAVA™ design is made in the very best in class materials, attractive, visually striking, leightweight and comfortable for the user.
The SUNSAVA™ umbrella is eye catching and easy for the user to select the "Stop" and "Slow" positions. It is also easier for approaching traffic to see, lessening the chance of a "drive by".
The SUNSAVA™ was carefully developed for all conditions but not intended for use, in the umbrella mode, on days where strong winds are prevalent. On such days the user can easily remove the umbrella and the 200ml extension piece from the pole and continue to use the bat.
Testing
Currently the SUNSAVA™ stop/slow bat has been tested amongst several users with 100% acceptance. Prominent traffic control companies in the Northern Territory and Western Australia are currently testing this product.
